Robin was an addict. She wanted to be a good mother, but she used drugs and alcohol, and that put her baby in danger. When child protective services took away 10-month-old Taylor, it was a wake-up call for Robin. She knew if she kept using she would lose her daughter forever. She had tried in the past to kick her habit – and each time she had failed. But never before had the stakes been so high. This time, she resolved to quit for good.

Robin found unexpected ally and champion in Kathy, Taylor’s court-appointed special advocate, or CASA volunteer.
