All children need heroes, but abused children need SUPERheroes!

Grab your family and friends, don your mask and cape, and sign up for the Superhero Fun Run!  You’ll have a great time running or walking (or even strolling!) to raise money for the Weiss Advocacy Center’s work to protect children and prevent child abuse in Genesee County.

In partnership with the UM-Flint Social Work Department and ABC12, the Weiss Advocacy Center will be hosting our inaugural Superhero Fun Run at the UM-Flint Pavilion in downtown Flint.  This event is for young and old alike.

Enjoy a 1k or 5k route.  Bring your family (no furry friends, please!) and use your power to help protect children from child abuse and neglect!  Strollers and wagons are welcome.

Our photographer will be on hand to take complimentary photos, so make sure you come in costume.  We’ll also have face painting and music for the kids.

Collect pledges, or make a donation of any size to the Center to help fund our child abuse prevention and advocacy programming.

Parking is located in the Harrison Street Ramp, just east of the flat lot in downtown Flint.

This event is rain or shine.  Registration starts at 8am, and we will start walking at 9am.  Register online at http://superherofunrun.eventbrite.com/ or print the attached registration form.

To keep up with this event and all Weiss Advocacy Center events, you can join us on the Facebook page for Weiss Advocacy Center.
